AN ONAM OF GRATITUDE AND HUMANITY

It was a time when people could have  become selfish. It was a time when people could have made maximum utilisation of the situation. It was a time when people could have thrown the dirt of religion, gender, caste and politics among themselves. It was a time when people could have divided themselves as have's and have not's. It was a time when women and children could have faced great exploitation. But over the past few days we saw nothing of that sort when nature made its most devastating dance over our homeland, Kerala. The floods, worst in a century, have claimed lives of 231 people in the last 10 days besides rendering over 14 lakh people homeless but,we saw our state overpowering all the impossibilities and helping the crores of people survive. We saw hundreds of people, from children to old men coming forward to save our homeland, they could have ignored the suffering of people and enjoyed the festive season awaiting them. But each one of them refused to be part of c

Towards the end you will see no one. When you are done with life all the things around you will fade away and the drowsy numbness will entangle you to which you unknowingly surrenders. Whether it is a rainbow or a painting everything turns out to be black and white into which your vision gradually falls out and your ways will turn out to be unending loops. You will see similitude of events and dreams where you will meet your struggling self trying to figure out reality and fantasy. Even if you try to tackle all of these, these would reappear, till you completely accept your failure to the game called LIFE. A.C

There was a time when her wings glowed. It was home to the shining fireflies. Its fluttering pierced into the ears of folks. The bright colours of the wings always created the rainbow around her. Little did she know that the wings too would die, die into deeper solitude. Her whole world circulated around those wings which carried her into the realms of unspoken realities. But little did she know that the night was always jealous of her wings. She glowed bright as Sirius in the night that every matter included her light and every being wished to be with her. Little did she realized that there were powers of darkness that could bring her down. Down into the hell were pessimistic waters flowed and from  where the reverse rains of apocalypse poured. Broken and disappearing, with dead wings and dead mind she lies immersed in the height of winter, desparate to find home at the least  in a tangled hair! A.C

There it comes , the truck .It comes all through the way, it crosses the valleys, climbs the mountains and even if it's lost in middle of dark forests, at the end of the day, it makes to its destination, to unload all the pains it carried all the way. Heap after heap the place becomes occupied with zillions of pain that weighs tons. While the indifferent truckdriver goes back to get the next load, the mountain of pain still awaits for its charwoman. A.C

Nothing is more painful than an unfinished dream that gets stuck in your mind. It slowly grabs your thoughts. Like a jigsaw puzzle ,it gets scattered across your mind and solving it is difficult. There, you could have seen faces of people whom you know, actors you admired, characters you saw and read. Sometimes you maybe a character, or sometimes an omniscient viewer, whoever you are you feel really connected to the dream that you cry and laugh with it.But an unfinished dream, it grieves you.You try to figure out what happened, but you get a blurred image, you feel like you have seen some parts of it in the past, but nothing makes sense. The lose of a dream is heavily painful, because it eats your thoughts. And everytime you crave to see the rest of it to enjoy the emotion of it fully , if only you could go back to the dream. A.C

Revolutionary Road ( a review)

(Written on June 6, 2018) Happened to watch the 2008 British American romantic drama Revolutionary Road directed by Sam Mendes. The realistic story of the lunatic couple April and Frank smitten by the unrealistic American Dream, which toppled their lives at a more ironic place called revolutionary road. A brilliant movie adaptation of Richard Yates's novel of same name 'Revolutionary Road' heightened by the unquestionable acting skills of Hollywood's classic couple, DiCaprio and  Kate Winslet and of course by the character played by Michael Shannon.REVOLUTIONARY ROAD - the story of unaccomplished ambitions, the unsuccessful attempt to escape 'the hopeless emptiness' of life ,the stifling routine life, the crumbling relationships , losing minds and most importantly the American Dream of better and richer life. As April says, "If you don't try at anything, you can't fail...It takes backbone to lead the life you want". Yes , it always requ

And she said looking into his eyes," Well, You see,the things that I love will always be my favourite, whether it's a song,or person or movie or emotion or word, it will always be my favourite thing no matter what they do to me. Here take my word,I will always love them as long as I'm alive." "Oh, so I wonder whether you love yourself ?", he asked with a smile. She continued to look into his eyes and said, "Now that I think of it , yeah, I do .But I didn't. I don't know but something prevented me from loving myself. But now I can say this to you as I assured I love me and I will always be my favourite no matter what my fate turns out to be.The past , present or future , it doesn't matter me anymore. All that I know is l'm my favourite and I love the things that I love , afterall it's the thing called love that holds all of us together." She bid him bye and left the corridor where he stood still looking at, as she walked away.
